Stop at the beautiful coastal town of Port Wakefield, located just 100km north of Adelaide on the Adelaide Plains. Port Wakefield was the first government town to be established north of Adelaide.
Visit Kadina, the main town of the Copper Triangle. The region is also collectively known as Australia’s Little Cornwall due to the large settlement of Cornish miners who lived in the region.
See Moonta’s beautifully built historic buildings from the early copper mining days. Then visit Moonta Bay, a popular fishing area and tourist destination that is home to over 2,000 people.
Visit Wallaroo for a look into the town’s early shipping days and stop at the Nautical Museum. Once a Post Office, the museum houses extensive displays of the copper smelting era.
Departs Adelaide at 8.30am.
Returns at approximately 5.00pm.
