— Indian Pacific Train Journey Extension —

Extend your holiday by adding a journey aboard the famous Indian Pacific train from Perth to Adelaide at the end of your holiday. Join the train journey in Perth on day 7 of your holiday instead of flying home.

Day 7 – Board the Indian Pacific train, Kalgoorlie (BLD)

★ Board the luxurious Indian Pacific train and begin your journey across the huge Nullabor Plain.

A leisurely mid-morning departure from Perth is followed by a regionally-inspired, gourmet lunch with views of the beautiful patchwork hills of the Avon Valley. The soft, green rolling hills slowly give way to the flatter, drier and harsher, but every bit as beautiful, desert plains.

★ Enjoy pre-dinner drinks and socialise with fellow guests before the train arrives in the mining town of Kalgoorlie.

The gold rush, set off by Paddy Hannan’s discovery in 1893 was one of the biggest in Australian history.

Visit Hannan’s North Tourist Mine where you will enjoy a short play which highlights the tales of The Golden Mile and the beginning of the thriving days of gold glory.

❱ 2 nights: Indian Pacific train journey

Day 8 – Rawlinna & Cook (BLD)

★ Arrive eager & refreshed to experience a morning on the Nullabor at Rawlinna.

On the fringes of Australia’s biggest sheep stations, this little outpost on the Nullarbor Plain is pure jackaroo country. By car, Rawlinna is a five hour trip from the nearest big town, Kalgoorlie.

The Rawlinna Station is home to up to 80,000 sheep spread across 2.5 million acres. To put that into perspective, one paddock alone takes 8 hours to muster by plane.

★ Indulge in regionally-inspired modern Australian cuisine before alighting at the once vibrant but now deserted town of Cook.

Explore the unique town before returning onboard and watch the passing landscape before dinner and share stories with friends in the lounge.

Day 9 – Arrive in Adelaide (B)

Arrive in Adelaide in the morning to complete your epic Nullarbor train crossing.

Adelaide travellers will be transferred to their home address. Interstate travellers will be taken to Adelaide Airport in time for their flight home.
